Logistics Warehouse Supervisor

We are currently recruiting and have a vacancy for a Logistics & Warehouse Supervisor.
THE ROLE
To supervise the Warehouse Team to ensure that the services delivered, meet and exceed customer expectation, are in accordance with established service levels / procedures / SLAs, and are carried out efficiently, in a safe, clean warehouse environment.The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse operations as a hands-on leader motivating the warehouse team, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere.
KEY TASKS

Adherence to the company’s H&S arrangements and proactively contributing to the maintenance of a safe working environment.
Understanding Customer Requirements and ensuring the delivery of first-class customer service.
Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, inventory control and other value-added activity.
Assigning workloads and specific tasks within the Warehouse Team
Ensuring the Warehouse Team’s adherence to the Daily/Weekly/Monthly ‘Task Lists’
Acting as the main point of contact for all visitors to the warehouse.
Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and controls.
Monitoring Security within the Warehouse and Yard
Operating the companies Warehouse Management System (PC & Handheld Scanner)
Operating client’s own IT systems.
Operating various MHE (Pallet Trucks, Forklift Trucks, etc.)
Joining the warehouse ‘on-call’ roster.
Provide Holiday/Absence cover when required.
Other tasks as required.

TERMS

Basic 40 hours per week.
Some afterhours and week-end work when required.
20 days paid holidays per year.
Uniform and PPE provided.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse environment.
Good Leadership and personnel management skills
Good literary and numeracy skills
Good written and Oral communication skills
Forklift Training Certificate – Counterbalance
Manual Handling Certificate

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €40,000.00 per year
