One of the core missions of the Edge & Platform (EP) team in Israel Development Center (ILDC) is to ensure Microsoft’s Cloud infra and platform, Edge devices, Operating Systems (OS), Engineering systems and AI are all designed and built with security-first mindset. To achieve that, we have an Enterprise and Security (En S) engineering group that specializes in Windows and Linux OS security features such as Cryptography, Data Protection APIs, Key Management, Protection and Isolation, Personal Data Encryption and new domains such as Post Quantum safety. We also have an offensive Security Research group that takes a proactive and heads on approach for reviewing security aspects across products lifecycles and engages in design reviews, thread models analysis, code reviews, pentesting, red-teaming, audits and shift left efforts for existing and upcoming products, services and AI capabilities.
We are looking for an experienced and visionary product executive who will be the head of the product group that is responsible for the strategy, planning and project management for these groups and efforts.

Responsibilities

In this role you will

• Lead a group of experienced security PMs and TPMs
• Co-own the strategy and execution of the security vision, roadmap, and priorities for the En S and EPSF IL security groups in partnership with the group leaders
• Collaborate closely with the global security leadership and community across Microsoft and its ecosystem
• Map and analyze new security concepts and threats, security business domains, potential targets for research and development
• Plan, prioritize and provide status updates for security investments, initiatives and assessments both locally and globally
• Be the main contact point to the broader PM organization, ensuring alignment and a unified strategy across geos
• Ensure systematic collection of data, automated analysis and present metrics reflecting progress towards En S and EPSF IL goals, triage incoming queries, and maintain visibility into new products being developed
• Set measurable objectives and success criteria for investments and projects, and monitor progress and completion throughout execution
• Be a part of the EPIL leadership team and dotted to the global security PM leadership

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of professional experience in security
• Out of which at least 5 years of experience as a Security product org Leader
• Experience working with Security engineering and research groups
• Deep understanding of security concepts across the entire stack from silicone trough OS, virtualization, processes, network and web services as well as methodologies such as Threat modeling, risk assessments, vulnerability scoring and security incident response.
• Proven experience in defining and influencing security strategy
• Strong collaboration and partnership in complex and global matrix setups
• Demonstrated verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including communicating effectively with different business groups and project teams as well as public posting and presentations
