Deep Instinct, the first cyber security company to apply Deep Learning to cyber security is looking for a Security Researcher to join our security research team. Deep instinct is an innovative start-up that has a unique and game-changing software solution to protect Fortune 500 End-Point users against Zero Day & APT cyber-attacks. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of Deep Instinct’s novel prevention capabilities, conduct research in the Cloud environment, evasion techniques and attack surfaces, reverse-engineer malware and more. The role involves close work with fellow researchers, data scientists, and development teams. The position requires innovation and independence in a fast-paced environment in which deliverables are of the highest quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities::
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of Deep Instinct’s novel prevention capabilities, conduct research in the Cloud environment, evasion techniques and attack surfaces, reverse-engineer malware and more. The role involves close work with fellow researchers, data scientists, and development teams. The position requires innovation and independence in a fast-paced environment in which deliverables are of the highest quality and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of OS internals and components in either Windows, Linux or Mac OS.
- Knowledge of attack vectors and evasion techniques, such as code injection.
- Hands-on experience in static and dynamic malware analysis, including reveres-engineering (x86/x64) and other relevant tools and methods (Olly DBG, Win DBG, IDA, etc.).
- Practical development experience in C/C++ for malware or security components (e.g., implementing hooking) and Python.
- Experience in Cloud environment research - advantage.
- B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent army experience.
Ideally, you will also have these skills (but it's ok if you don't!) :
- Background in Machine Learning.
- Team player with a passion for research, a can-do attitude, creativity and an eager self-learner.

Responsibilities::
- Research malware behavior and evasion techniques across all stages of the malware kill chain from exploitation and infection to impact.
- Design and develop mechanisms to detect suspicious and malicious activity in run-time on the OS and Cloud environment for future product features.
- Perform your own research of attack surfaces in Cloud and OS components for exploitation and publication.
- Write technical summaries, white papers, and blogs based on your research and finding.
- Work with other teams in research, development, and product groups.
