WSP Italia has a new opportunity for an Environmental Engineer/Project Manager with a minimum 8 years of experience to join our team of Remediation Engineering inside the Development & Remediation Industrial & Commercial Business Unit on a full-time contract basis based in Milan (Italy). The successful candidate will join our multi-discipline and cross-national team supporting in the development of projects in different sectors in Italy and worldwide.
WHAT DOES THIS PROJECT MANAGER ROLE INCLUDE?

• Drafting and Revision of Site Characterization Plans (soil, groundwater, wastes, soil-gas, ambient air, etc.)

• Remediation Conceptual/Feasibility Studies

• Remediation Plans

• Develop Remediation Systems FEED and Detailed Engineering

• Supporting Human Health Risk Assessment and Environmental Modeling

• Project Progress Reports

• Assist Senior Project Manager in technical coordination of projects

• Well experienced in site Investigation/Remediation/O&M activities to include: installation, commissioning, test run and start-up of remediation systems, remediation Operations & Maintenance, site certification and closure, due diligence

REQUIREMENTS WE REQUIRE:

• Technician shall be flexible and shall demonstrate dynamic approach to his assigned tasks.

• Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil or Hydraulic Engineering.

• Good knowledge of English.

• Fluent in Italian.

• Excellent knowledge of Italian Legislation related to soil and groundwater remediation and waste management (Legislative Decree 152/2006 e smi) .

• Good knowledge in the use of standard software tools (MS Office package).

• Availability to travel in Italy and abroad, for short/long term project assignments at sites different from main office.

• Knowledge of advanced soil and groundwater contamination issues and remedial approaches / design / O&M. Direct experience in Technical Design and/or O&M of innovative remediation technologies is a plus.
