RINA is currently recruiting for Data Scientist Interns to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Integrated Digital Services Division. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, enjoy professional development opportunities, access cutting-edge technologies, and make a meaningful impact on innovative projects.

Mission

You will engage with a diverse team to develop innovative data-driven solutions that drive business transformation. You will contribute to projects spanning both technology and non-technology areas, working closely with data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers, designers, and project managers. This role offers hands-on experience, extracting actionable insights and delivering impactful outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing actively to all stages of projects
Support the development and delivery of analytical solutions, including code and models
Assist in designing and implementing data science models and solutions to address challenges for internal teams and external clients
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and insights, and translate them into actionable plans

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Computer Engineering

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Statistics

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s, MSc or Ph D degree with an expected graduation date in 2025 in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering
Knowledge of data science and machine learning methods, with a focus on solving practical problems
Ability to write clean, maintainable and robust code in Python
Problem-solving skills with a methodical and creative approach
Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical concepts to non-specialists
Collaborative team player with a preference for working in dynamic, team-oriented settings
Fluent in Italian and English
