Position Summary:

Responsible for day-to-day production of various sealants, coatings, and other products at PPG Japan Aerospace Application Support Center.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent assist the Production supervisor or Operations Manager as directed, the position will oversee and execute the day-to-day production of various packaging operations production and its personnel. The incumbent will be responsible for understanding of the production cells and their operation processes, training production workers, allocating activities, preparing materials and equipment to support the day’s work orders. The incumbent will be responsible for quality control, and all functions relating to sign off work orders. The incumbent is responsible to oversee the general day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness of the production equipment and the production area. This position will supervise team of production employees or contract employees, depending on work through put demands and will co-ordinate their training and work. The position will be responsible for reconciling staff time sheets and submitting to payroll for payment.

This position will be responsible to work closely with the production planner and production admin support and at times provide a backup for these roles, this will require on the job training to meet the required competency.

Requires:

Must Have)

• Self-motivation and self-starting.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experienced or Intension of actual working on production field
• to implement and review WO, and create and maintain SOP.
• to lead pre-shift meeting with operators.
• to update and implement FMEA and FOD
• to check production KPI
• to implement production processes and equipment maintenance including new products.

Nice to have)

• English skills to be able to read and understand.
• Awareness of EHS and Quality systems
• Awareness of 5S, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Principles
• Use of QAD computer system or experience in other ERP system such as Oracle/SAP.
