You would be joining the Operation Control and Project control team. The Control team (Project Control & Operations Control) that you would be joining is a 5-person full-time equivalent team. The team is international.

You would be joining the Operation Control and Project control team and report to Ops Control Manager. The Control team being small (5-6 persons including you), you would be entrusted with real responsibilities. You would also have the good opportunity of working closely with the management.

Your main mission would be to support your manager on all Control and Project control activities. This brings a lot of opportunities for you in terms of learning/self-development and career path.

Some of theses activities related to Project Cost Control are:

• Control closely the budgets of projects in terms of hours and costs.
  
• Revise on a monthly basis these budgets with the project managers.
  
• Estimate and forecast these budgets until project completion (Percentage of Completion method).
  
• Control that invoices are sent to clients on the right time and the cash position on projects.
  
• Support of PM in the identification of the contracts liabilities, risks, opportunities, etc.
  
• Properly support the project managers in order to make their work as efficient as it can be.
  
• Identify and address the potential points of improvement in the current procedures and tools.
  
• Operate the set-up / planning / etc. in SAP for all projects (including the month-end closing activities).
  
• Ensure that the data is well aligned between the Project team and the Control team.
  
• Ensure good communication with other centers (mainly China and Houston) for consolidation purposes (among others).
  
• Properly support the management in order to help them make the right decisions.
  
• Report all projects’ status to management..
  
• And many others.
  

Some of theses activities related to the support of the Operations Control Team are:

• Support in the control of the center’s department costs (in collaboration with each department manager).
  
• Support in the control and forecast of the center’s Order-Intake (in collaboration with the proposal department).
  
• Support in the control and forecast of the center’s workload.
  
• Support in the control of the center’s P&L (monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasting & reforecasting).
  
• Support the Accounting team.
  
• Support in the control and forecast of the center’s provisions.
  
• And many others.
  

Of course, all those activities would be handed-over to you little by little on a progressive basis. All along the way, you would be closely accompanied by your manager through a close cooperation in the work and regular status meetings to discuss and tackle potential difficulties or interests.
