We are seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. This role requires a strong background in commercial driving, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory levels.
- Conduct routine checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.
- Participate in quality control checks to ensure all products are stored and transported correctly.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including the yard and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license preferred but not required
- 2 years of recent experience driving a 16 foot box truck
- Experience operating a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers and school buses.
- Familiarity with delivery driver regulations and procedures.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as climb and descend from heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
