Biomedical Engineering Faculty (Part-Time or Full-Time)

American International University (AIU) is looking for dynamic and engaged Part-time or Full-time faculty members for its School of Engineering and Computing.

AIU invites applicants for Part-time or Full-time Faculty appointments with expertise in Biomedical Engineering.

We welcome candidates who will diversify our curriculum and our faculty with regard to race, gender, and ethnicity.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph D degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship
  
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.

The ideal candidate is an innovative professional who leverages professional trends and technologies to deliver relevant classroom experiences. The successful candidate will be a leader and current, active member of the Biomedical Engineering field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in:

• Biomedical Signal and Systems
• Biomedical Instrumentation
• Medical Imaging

The candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. The candidate will also be expected to develop research programs, supervise undergraduate students, and make contributions to both school and university service. Evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and research is required.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level related to their specific expertise within the professional Biomedical Engineering curriculum. Also, we expect to play an active role in the leadership in undergraduate programs, curriculum development, mentoring, and start-ups. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in teaching.
