· Configuring and maintaining Active Directory, Domain controllers, Exchange server, backup server and file & print server.
· Configuring and maintaining EMC storage. Scheduling and conducting Back-ups
· Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software, service packs and antivirus software updates.
· Data Center supervision, UPS provision.
· Responsible for identifying and providing technical resolutions to all problems with operating systems, servers, and storage. Perform on-site and remote technical support or escalates the calls as required by the complexity of the issue.
· Aggressively escalates issues covered by support contracts, in addition to unresolved server issues.
· Responsible for overseeing technicians who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing more complex issues on PCs, Servers and SAN and/or NAS environments.
· Perform tasks as assigned by the IT Manager including definition/development of training materials, guidance and training of lower level technical personnel, and other duties of similar or more complexity as required. Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects
· Provide training to staff and functional groups to assure quality support to users.
· Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement.
· Creates and maintains good technical documentation.
· Works on assignments that are moderately complex to complex in nature, where considerable judgment and initiative is required in resolving problems and making recommendations and provide follow-up with users to verify effective problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent.
- Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, and to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Pay: KD550.000 - KD600.000 per month
