Manager / Senior Manager - Import LC / Issuance & Amendment / Trade Services (Watheefti)

Job Description

1. Accountable for the processing of Import Letter of Credit documentary applications, amendments, drawings and/or advices.
2. Examine, advice, accept, and amend of Import Letter of Credit.
3. Ensure Import Letter of Credit terms are clearly understandable and compatible with the broad parameters of the International Chamber of Commerce Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits as well as international shipping terms and practices.
4. Ensure Import Letter of Credit amendments conforms to the regulator’s requirements and the Bank policy.
5. Ensure proper drawing instructions are given to the advising bank and reimbursing bank regarding drawings under Import Letter of Credit.
6. Obtain necessary information to process and complete Import Letter Of Credit and related financial transactions.
7. Control processing of import LC
8. Coordinates with corporate banking and Credit Administration to comply with bank credit standards
9. Improve processing system.
10. Monitor Performance of end-of-day processing including printing of reports and proof of daily processing totals.


Skills

  • CDCS Certified documentary credit specialist.
  • Minimum 9 years experience in Import letter of Credit in a commercial bank.


Education
Business Administration, Finance, or similar field.
