Nursery Supervisor

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Nursery Supervisor to join our team in Al-Rai, Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Arabic and English, with experience in inventory management and sales, combined with excellent leadership skills to oversee daily operations at the nursery. This role is crucial in ensuring that our nursery runs smoothly, products are well-stocked, and sales objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels of plants, gardening supplies, and other nursery products.
- Coordinate with suppliers for restocking and manage purchase orders.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory systems and procedures.
- Oversee daily sales operations and ensure high-quality customer service.
- Assist customers with product selection, provide expert advice, and address any concerns.
- Process sales transactions accurately and manage cash handling.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and drive growth.
- Supervise and train nursery staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage daily staffing needs.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers.
- Implement health and safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute operational strategies.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a nursery or retail environment.
- Strong background in inventory management and sales.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues effectively.
- Good leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Flexibility to work 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business management, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a nursery or retail setting.
