Conduct Client Onboarding for Luxembourg jurisdiction to confirm that all Customer/ Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer/ Client (KYC) documentation is in hand and up to date, identifying where gaps exist and remediation is required; ensuring that CSC is in compliance with regulatory standards.
The positionForm part of the vital team of the Client Onboarding of new clients with focus on the AML/KYC & CDD required & the integrity of the data stored on our systems to ensure that compliance with regulations is effective and appropriately maintained. To perform the client onboarding process diligently as per the SOP, regulations governing the Professional Service Providers i.e. CSSF obligations and company's internal policies & procedures. Assist the team members in their understanding of and ability to undertake this work, developing them to better service our clients.

This role requires:
- client outreach: proactively handling various client queries in a timely and professional manner
- coordination with both internal & external stakeholders adherence of the client onboarding/compliance policies & procedures and obligations by CSSF and other applicable regulations
Your responsibilities
- Conduct AML/KYC and CDD documentation on prospective clients. Following internal policies & procedures for onboarding clients in Luxembourg jurisdiction.
- Good understanding of AML/CFT regulations in Luxembourg.
- Good analytical skills to identify the potential risks and performing risk classification for every client file. Record missing requirements as action points within internal systems, following standard input protocol.
- Assist with the collection of know your client (“KYC”) information, including obtaining satisfactory due diligence on UBOs, directors, shareholders and partners in cooperation etc. with the business/client teams.
- Liaise with business/client teams / client informing them of missing requirements to facilitate collection, circulation among relevant teams, and storage within appropriate systems/applications.
- Monitoring of reporting to ensure adequate progress being made to close action points, escalating to local teams according to specific escalation cycle.
- Perform client administration duties such identifying gaps in KYC data required, completing reviews of existing KYC data on the systems.
- To participate in ad hoc projects and other ad hoc duties as required / as assigned by the Manager.
- Degree in Law/Economics/Finance/Compliance or related discipline;
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in compliance industry or related discipline;
- Demonstrable knowledge of various types of corporate, trust and partnership / fund /real estate structures and understanding the differences between each;
- Understanding of corporate governance, relevant local regulations, AML regulations and best practices.
- Understanding of KYC due diligence and corporate regulatory obligations, locally and globally;
- Proficiency in MS Office/ Excel and database management;
- An ability to work well in a team environment, independent, meticulous, pro-active, attention to detail, self-motivated and ability to adapt to new challenges;
- Participate in ongoing automation and improvement of systems and processes;
- Driven, confident, flexible and engaged;
- Communication skills: effectively conveys information and expresses thoughts and facts coherently and fluent spoken & written English. Any additional language is an advantage
