How will you contribute?

• Conduct research on 3D-network architectures, TN-NTN integration, constellation management, TN/NTN interworking (e.g. mobility and load sharing) and NTN aware protocol design. Additionally, the future research topic will include Inter-Satellite-Links, integration of Io T and EO satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for near seamless & ubiquitous connectivity.
• Guide and support simulation/SW/HW platform development needed for NTN related research at LIST.
• Implement and design of novel NTN communication links and protocols.
• Participate and contribute to national/international research projects (National Research Fund of Luxembourg, Horizon Europe, ESA, etc.). including project submission and acquisition
• Write and publish research papers or reports on research outcomes, including patenting

• Good knowledge of computer networking concepts.
• Good knowledge of Internet of Things protocols.
• Good knowledge of satellite communication systems, satellite design, satellite orbit, and constellation design.
• Experience on Satellite Network Simulator and Emulator.
• Advanced programming skills (C/C++/Python/MATLAB/Bash Script, etc.).
• Web development skills (server side, Java Script, PHP, HTML, etc.).
• General understanding of software quality and project management tools (Git, Git Hub, etc.).
• Embedded programming experience, ideally involving low power wireless devices (Lo Ra WAN devices, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
• Good experience in Linux (UBUNTU) and Embedded Linux (Raspbian, Open WRT, etc.).
