Job Description
As member of our risk management team, you will be performing analytical work both on funds and individual assets, ensuring the preparation of fund and risk related reporting for our clients and internal stakeholders. In your day-to-day work you will be in contact with the product management team, as well as internal and external portfolio managers, in order to discuss fund and investment risk profiles, and help defining risk management requirements. The team you will be joining is dynamic and embraces regulatory and business-related challenges to be implemented in the operational environment, including the role’s following main activities:
- Analyse and categorise financial information for investments and funds, with focus on infrastructure investments and structured debt
- Assess, monitor and report on all identified risk categories
- Ensure the risk management function performs the oversight of the fund’s activities, the investment compliance monitoring for AIFs, and the monitoring on individually defined risks
- Support timely checks, risk analysis production and delivery of risk reports to funds, investors and regulators
- Support the preparation of relevant documentation for fund board meetings, conducting persons and our board of directors
- Liaise internally with other teams, to set up risk monitoring and risk report production, and to provide assistance in all risk management matters
- Work together with the head of risk management on development projects
- Support the follow-up on ad-hoc client requests
- Hold a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in economics, finance or engineering
- Have 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the field of illiquid assets and/or AIFs
- Good command of IT applications and in particular Microsoft Office (including strong Excel skills).
- Ideally have a first understanding of alternative asset classes (renewable energy, infrastructure, corporate debt)
- Analytical thinking, problem solving skills, curiosity and critical thinking when analysing numbers and data, combined with an ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Good command of English is expected; knowledge of German is an advantage but not mandatory
Expected hours: 40 per week
