Assistant Manager (Facility, Accommodation, Security & Transport)

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of campus buildings, facilities, and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility improvements and regular inspections.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all campus facilities.
- Manage budgets and expenditures related to facility operations and maintenance.
- Supervise the management of student accommodation, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Handle room allocations, check-ins/outs, and address any issues related to student housing.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address student concerns and complaints regarding accommodation.
- Ensure regular maintenance and cleanliness of all residential areas.
- Oversee campus security operations to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors.
- Develop and implement security policies and emergency response plans.
- Liaise with security personnel to monitor campus security systems, including CCTV and access control systems.
- Coordinate safety drills and training sessions for campus staff and students.
- Manage the university’s transport services, including bus and shuttle operations.
- Ensure vehicles are well-maintained and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee transport schedules, route planning, and timeliness of transport services for staff and students.
- Coordinate with external transport providers to ensure reliable services.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to facilities, accommodation, security, and transport.
- Prepare regular reports on the performance, issues, and improvements related to these services.
- Manage operational budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Ensure that records related to accommodation, security incidents, and transport services are accurate and up to date.
- Lead and manage a team of facility, accommodation, security, and transport staff.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to team members, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for staff development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facility management, security, accommodation services, or transport operations.
- Strong understanding of building maintenance, safety regulations, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with students, staff, and external vendors.
- Experience in a higher education setting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in Malaysia.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to manage crises effectively.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
Supplemental Pay:
- Performance bonus
