Responsibilities: -
§ Monitor and control entry and exit points of the premises.
§ Check and validate staff, visitors, and vehicle identification as per security procedures.
§ Assist with the registration and escorting of visitors on-site.
§ Conduct regular patrols within the company’s premises to ensure the safety of people, property, and equipment.
§ Use CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to monitor suspicious activities.
§ Safeguard company property, including materials and machinery, from theft, damage, or misuse.
§ Responsible for opening and closing the facility, ensuring all exits are secured after hours.
§ Respond promptly to security incidents, accidents, or emergencies, and report to the supervisor or relevant authority.
§ Maintain an incident log and prepare reports as required by the company.
§ Ensure the implementation of health, safety, and security protocols in line with company policies and legal regulations.
§ Adhere to company and legal regulations, including the Malaysia Employment Act and relevant local safety standards.
§ Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Human Resource, Maintenance, etc.) regarding security-related issues, such as contractor access.
Qualification / Knowledge / Skills Requirements: -
§ Minimum SPM (Secondary School Qualification) or equivalent.
§ Previous experience in security services is preferred.
§ Basic knowledge of safety protocols and security equipment (CCTV, fire alarm, etc.).
§ Good communication skills in Malay and English. Additional languages (e.g., Tamil, Mandarin, or other) are an advantage.
§ Physically fit and able to work in shifts.
§ Knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures is a plus.
Key Performance Indicators / Performance Measurement: -
1 Number of security incidents reported and resolved.
2 Timeliness in responding to security or emergency alerts.
3 Level of adherence to security and safety protocols.
4 Compliance with audit requirements (e.g., log maintenance, incident reporting).
5 Effectiveness in managing visitor and contractor entry / exit.
Internal and External Contacts: -
§ Internal: Human Resource Department, Operation Employees, Facility Maintenance.
§ External: External contractors, visitors, government authorities (if required in case of serious incidents), and emergency services.
Authority: -
§ Authorized to enforce security protocols and deny access to individuals not complying with company rules.
§ Issue verbal warnings to staff or visitors breaching security rules.
§ Report any misconduct to the Human Resource Department and recommend corrective actions.
Working Conditions: -
§ Shift-based work (may include night shifts, weekends, and public holidays).
§ Primarily based at the company’s premises (inside and outdoor environment).
§ Regular exposure to weather elements (for outdoor patrols).
Required to wear a uniform and use standard security tools such as flashlights
