As an Agile coach, you will be responsible for the adoption of Agile within AIA Malaysia, which will require working with people at individual, team, department and organizational level. You will need to provide hands-on support, coaching and mentoring to individuals; work to educate and support the adoption of Agile across all levels and roles; teach Agile processes and embody and encourage cultural change and mindset shift; and continually assess and evolve approach and strategy to Agile adoption catered towards the organization’s needs.

You will need to have a good understanding of the Agile product lifecycle, as well as execution capability of Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP, and the ability to advise on the best fit and usage of tools depending on the product, team, or issue in question. You will have good understanding of, and the ability to coach individuals and teams to perform successfully in roles within Agile teams. You will also need to educate, coach and encourage understanding and support through the organization as a whole to empower the teams working within Agile to succeed.

You will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, teaching and mentorship capability, and the ability to inspire and motivate. You must be comfortable working with individuals at all levels, and across departments, inclusive of people at ground level as well as higher management levels. You will require strong assessment skills and be able to analyze, recommend and apply practices best suited for the situation or for the individuals in question.
