This is our commitment to change lives worldwide.The Executive- Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for managing and optimizing Novugen strategic sourcing and procurement of Pharmaceutical packaging material, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries of materials critical to Novugen’s operating markets. The incumbent should be well versed in areas of pharmaceutical procurement and supply chain deliverables.
About the role
Key Responsibilities: -
- Manage sourcing and procurement of Primary/Secondary & Tertiary packaging material from manufacturer ensuring quality of product meets specification.
- Prepare process order for materials and coordinate with planner to ensure that items are being processed according to specification and time requirements.
- Make comparative cost-benefit analyse to determine the most efficient procurement and transportation.
- Negotiate prices and payment term accordance to company guidelines and standard.
- Develop and implement material management and logistic plan that may affect the production.
- Assist in development of procedures or guidelines to ensure quality and smooth flow of production operation.
- Work with warehouse and planner to monitor inventory and analyse requirements to
- develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
- Coordinate logistic activities and port custom clearance with appointed forwarding agents/supplier based on Incoterms.
- Ensuring complaints and rejection material are addressed and handled timely, efficient, and effective manner.
- Accommodate the business direction and requirement to ensure the success of any new product launch and new formulation launch.
- Maintain material data in system (SAP) and documentation.
- Coordinate Material and Vendor Qualification for the new material and vendor.
- Liaise with end user to ensure purchase requisition meets specification and budgets.
- Manage Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order with accurate information and monitoring on the delivery.
- Manage and facilitate payment process with finance departments.
- Notify receiving party on incoming shipments
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, Business Administration, or relevant qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ related experience from Pharma, FMCG, and Healthcare industries with a strong procurement background
- Knowledge of import duty, sales tax exemption and packaging artwork will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of SAP/ Custom processes will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive under high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results
