HR Generalist

What You'll Do:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
Benefits:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and selection for various positions.
- Coordinate the onboarding process, including new hire orientation and training programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees' concerns and grievances, ensuring effective resolution.
- Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and regular communication.
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including appraisals and feedback processes.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing employee growth plans.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including working hours, minimum wage, and employee benefits.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to align with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Identify training needs and coordinate internal and external training programs for staff development.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements.
- Assist with payroll processing, including timesheet collection and data entry.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave management, and other perks.
- Maintain accurate HR records and manage HR systems for employee data, attendance, and leave tracking.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics for management review.
- Assist in the management of foreign workers, including work permit applications, renewals, and compliance with immigration regulations.
- Ensure workplace safety compliance and support health and safety initiatives.
- Coordinate with the safety officer to ensure a safe working environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in the F&B and retail industry.
- Experience in handling foreign worker management is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and other languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia) is a plus.
