Halal Executive

What You'll Do:
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
Benefits:
- Oversee and ensure that all processes, ingredients, and practices within the café or kitchen comply with halal requirements set by JAKIM and other relevant authorities.
- Lead and manage the application and renewal of halal certification, including preparing the necessary documentation and audits.
- Work closely with procurement and suppliers to verify that all ingredients used are halal-certified and meet the standards of halal integrity.
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure all production and handling processes are compliant with halal standards.
- Educate and train staff on the importance of halal compliance and ensure they follow halal procedures in daily operations.
- Develop and conduct food handling training sessions for kitchen and service crew members, ensuring they understand hygiene, food safety, and proper handling practices.
- Create and update training manuals and materials related to food safety, hygiene practices, and safe handling of food, in accordance with industry standards and government regulations.
- Ensure that all food handlers are certified in food safety and handling, and maintain accurate records of staff certifications and training progress.
- Perform regular hygiene inspections and audits to monitor adherence to food safety protocols in the kitchen and storage areas.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and regulations in halal certification and food safety practices and implement necessary improvements in training and processes.
- Diploma or degree in Halal Management, Food Safety, or a related field.
- JAKIM-recognized halal certification or similar is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in halal compliance or food safety training in the F&B industry.
- Experience with JAKIM halal certification processes and food safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of halal principles and food safety regulations in Malaysia.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering training sessions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including kitchen, procurement, and HR.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to maintaining standards and compliance.
- Ability to train and engage staff with clear and effective communication.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
