Medical Care and Treatment:
1. Perform thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions or diseases.
2. Develop and implement treatment plans for sick or injured animals, which may include administering medications, performing surgeries, or recommending other therapeutic procedures.
3. Provide emergency care for animals in urgent or critical conditions, making swift and effective decisions.
Surgery and Anesthesia:
1. Perform routine and complex surgeries on animals, such as spaying, neutering, and dental procedures, as well as orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries.
2. Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
3. Provide post-operative care and follow-up treatments as needed.
Preventive Care and Vaccinations:
1. Administer vaccines and conduct wellness checks to prevent diseases in pets, including routine deworming, flea and tick control, and heartworm prevention.
2. Educate pet owners on proper nutrition, preventive care, and vaccination schedules for their pets.
3. Advise clients on parasite control, diet, exercise, and general care to promote long-term health.
Diagnostic Testing:
1. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, X-rays, ultrasounds, and other laboratory tests to identify underlying health conditions.
Client Communication and Education:
1. Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about their pet's health, diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
2. Provide education on at-home care, follow-up treatment plans, and medications to ensure proper recovery and maintenance of pet health.
3. Address client concerns and answer questions related to their pet's health and behavior.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
1. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, including health history, test results, treatments, and follow-up care.
2. Ensure that all documentation complies with clinic policies and veterinary regulations.
3. Complete and submit required documentation for vaccination records, health certificates, and other official forms.
Collaboration with Veterinary Team:
1. Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other clinic staff to ensure efficient and high-quality care for all patients.
2. Participate in case discussions and collaborate with other veterinarians on complex medical or surgical cases.
Continuing Education and Professional Development:
1. Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continued education, workshops, seminars, and professional development courses.
2. Maintain and renew veterinary licenses and certifications as required by law.
3. Ensure compliance with local and national regulations regarding veterinary practice and animal care.
Clinic Operations Support:
1. Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for veterinary care, including emergency protocols and infection control.
2. Assist with inventory management for medical supplies, medications, and vaccines.
Compassionate Care and Animal Welfare:
1. Advocate for the humane treatment of all animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their time at the clinic.
2. Provide compassionate care to both animals and their owners, especially in difficult or emotional situations such as euthanasia or chronic illness.
3. Promote and educate on animal welfare practices within the clinic and the wider community.
Skills and Qualifications:

• Academic: Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized university (Universitas Airlangga, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Pertanian Bogor).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a veterinarian post-graduation. Experience in high-tech veterinary clinics or hospitals is an advantage.
• Veterinary License: Valid veterinary license from the country of origin and eligible to apply for a Temporary Permit to Practice (TPP) in Malaysia.
• Surgical Skills: Experience in both minor and major surgeries, including spaying and neutering.
• Advanced Technology: Proficient in using the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies in veterinary medicine.
• Language: Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, with a willingness to learn Bahasa Malaysia for professional communication.
• Work Ethics: Ethical, responsible, and focused on animal welfare.
• Flexibility: Willing to work various shifts and handle emergency cases outside of regular working hours.
• Proficiency in using veterinary software and keeping detailed medical records.
