Position : Welder
Location : Kuala Lumpur
Working hours : Rotational shifts
Responsibilities :
- Daily Fit-up & welding related jobs using different welding methods and machines, mainly GTAW/TIG, SMAW/STICK.
- Perform welding works to required standard and quality.
- Perform welding in 3G/4G/6G welding position and in confined locations as required.
- Perform weld repair on different types of material, e.g. carbon steel, stainless steels and high temperature alloys.
- Perform visual inspection after completion of welding before RT and NDT inspection.
- Operate specialized tooling and machinery related to welding such as hand grinder, welding equipment, etc.
- Perform any other tasks that may be allocated by supervisor or engineers as required.
- Carry out assigned task within the given schedule and time frame according to required standards and quality, and document completed task and result in written form.
- Maintain the validity of welding certificates and carry out re-certification as required at relevant training and authorized training facilities.
- Adhering to all work-site health, safety & environmental (HSE) rules and regulations, attend related safety training and successfully attaining the required qualification (e.g. Site Safety Induction, Confined Space, Work at Height, and others as required).
- Relevant welding certificate e.g. 3G/4G/6G in compliance to EN ISO 9606/ ASME IX/ AWS D1.1/2 or equivalent; preferably the certificates GTAW 6G (Stainless Steel) and GTAW+SMAW 6G (Carbon Steel)
- SPM, Technical & Vocational Education Training (TVET) or equivalent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Working experience as a welder in Oil & Gas, Power Utility, Petrochemical, Marine or relevant industry is an added advantage.
- Able to understand Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and interpret technical drawings.
- Able to converse and write in Basic English.
- Good communication, time management and teamwork skills.
- Able to travel up to 90% of the time and willing to work on rotating shifts and overtime when required.
- Sound body and mind.
- Expected five (5) years of prior working experience in the related field.
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
