SYSTEM TEST ENGINEER - COMPONENTS

YOUR TASKS

The System Test Engineer is responsible for the coordination of the test strategies and test planning decisions of the different test domains (Mechanical and Electronic), documents the comprehensive approaches and decisions in the system test specification, escalates in case of conflicts, implement solutions using the problem-solving methodologies in the event of deviations from objectives-targets (Quality, Time, Cost), and documents the overall assessment of test results in the D&D system. Your main interfaces, besides the testing network, are program and system management, as well as mechanical development.

• Define, plan, coordinate and review the test tasks within a project in an international environment.
• Create test specifications based on the whole product system and according to product & customer requirements.
• Analyze and plan the testing efforts, agree and pursue the goals in terms of quality, costs and deadlines.
• Manage a globally active testing network within a project to fulfill the project tasks.
• First point of contact with internal & external stakeholders & ensure project progress.
• Developing complex test concepts and arranging the construction of test set-ups, models and test circuits for individual parts, assemblies, devices, and systems.
• Involvement in the processing of customer complaints about devices and production difficulties in agreement with main stakeholders (including quality assurance, assembly, laboratory).
• Involvement in the risk assessment during the tendering stage based on the customer’s qualification requirements, pointing out critical qualification requirements as well as deriving alternatives.
• Clarifying and defining test-related requirements with the customer in the form of specified project descriptions, analyzing test-related expenditure.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics engineering or similar.
• +6 years of experience in the field of automotive testing.
• Experience in the technical project management of development projects.
• Knowledge of automotive mechanical test systems and equipment, system test and fluidics /hydraulics, environmental testing, NVH testing.
• Experience creating/releasing test reports and disclosing information to customer about the results.
• Strong creativity, self-driven, problem solving, adaptability, continuous learning and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills both (Writing and Spoken), negotiation and leadership.
• Experience conceptualizing and/or designing test equipment is a plus.
• English language is a must; full competence is required.
