Responsibilities

• Assists the controller Morocco in general accounting activities, such as accrual calculation, account reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation and recharges

• Supports the Accounts Payable team: analyze incoming invoices and assign them for posting, respond to vendor inquiries, prepare payment batches, follow up on open vendor positions

• Follow up on open purchase orders with the responsible department in order to recognize the invoices

• Support the local team in employee related administration such as credit cards, lease car management

• Assist in VAT and related tax declarations and reconciliations

• Support the grower payments, reconciliation and administration

• Cooperates in improving financial processes and procedures.

• Responsible for Accounts receivable in Morocco (invoicing and collection)

Candidate Profile

Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors for goods and services received by the company. This includes verifying the accuracy of invoices, ensuring appropriate authorization for payment, and coding invoices to the correct general ledger accounts.

Payment Processing: Prepare and schedule payments to vendors, which may include issuing checks, initiating electronic payments, or processing wire transfers. Ensure payments are made in accordance with payment terms and company policies.

Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, including addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and account balances. Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure smooth processing of invoices and payments.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions with vendor statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or discrepancies in a timely manner. Prepare the accruals for month and year end.

Expense Reporting: Monitor and register the employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement of expenses. Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and vendor correspondence. Ensure proper documentation and filing of all relevant paperwork. Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable processes. This may include adhering to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal audit procedures.
