Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager
As a CI-Manager you lead the plant’s CI-department and champion the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) as a cornerstone for driving operational efficiency and inter-departmental collaboration.

We are Canpack Netherlands, with approximately 500 colleagues we have been working hard every day since 2017 to produce the most beautiful beverage cans that you can find everywhere in the region! Both in the pub and on the shelves of your supermarket!

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €5.500,00 - €8.000,00 per month

What else are you responsible for?
- Leading the TPM Implementation and driving the CI strategy!
- Build a Culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Inspiring, influencing, building enthusiasm and commitment across local and global stakeholders for CI.
- Monitoring and reporting progress of projects.
- Embedding a collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach across departments, reinforcing the importance of shared goals and mutual support.
- You develop a multi-phase TPM implementation plan that aligns with plant goals and global standards.
- You lead, mentor, and upskill a two-person CI department, building them into capable TPM practitioners and advocates.
- You serve as the plant’s primary TPM coach, facilitating workshops, storytelling sessions, and training initiatives that resonate with diverse stakeholders.
- You design and implement a TPM-focused CI program that empowers employees at all levels, fostering a mindset of ownership and teamwork.
- You conduct Gemba walks and engage with front-line employees.
- You develop presentations and reports that vividly illustrate TPM successes and inspire confidence among corporate board members.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure TPM success.
- You use tools to display TPM progress and regularly report results to the Local Managing Director and global CI leaders, advocating for resources and support as needed.
- You are passionate about Continuous Improvement! You have the ability to inspire change and Influence diverse stakeholders.
- You are a Strong Communicator! You have the ability to convey complex CI concepts in an engaging, relatable way that resonates with all levels of the organization.
- You are a born leader! You are enthusiastic about creating a shared vision and are capable of mentoring and developing CI team members, fostering an environment of curiosity and skill-building.
- You have no shortage of analytical thinking! You excel at assessing complex situations, are skilled in data-driven decision-making and are good with tracking KPIs to demonstrate tangible improvements.
- Proactive is your first name and Resilient Is your last name! You comfortably navigating challenges, with the tenacity to keep momentum for change even in the face of setbacks.
- You are available for 32 to 40 hours a week.
- You have excellent command of the English (and Dutch) language (B2 level).
- You hold a higher vocational (HBO) or university (WO) degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- You have a minimum of 5 years' experience with CI, in a manufacturing company, which means you have strong expertise with TPM and Lean, and have proven track records of successfully leading cross-functional teams in CI projects.
- An attractive salary, between €5.500 and €8.000 gross, of course based on your knowledge and experience.
- An annual bonus up to 10% of your gross annual salary.
