Why we're hiring:
The Finance team is responsible for the reporting and day to day management of the WPP Netherlands Holding Companies. We are looking for a capable, motivated candidate to help us for a period of six months to deliver exceptional financial management and reporting services in respect of our Netherlands holding companies.

What you'll be doing:

• External reporting for the WPP Netherlands holding companies
• WPP Holding company management reporting
• Providing day to day support in connection with managing the activities of the holding companies, including support in respect of the implementation of external and intra-group M&A transactions (involving liaison with WPP colleagues in the Netherlands and overseas, banks and third-party advisors)

Statutory reporting:

• Manage the delivery of approximately 30 annual reports for WPP holding companies
• Partnering with the Group's third-party tax consultants to ensure timely submission of corporate income tax returns.

WPP Holding company management accounting:

• Undertake end-to-end management accounting including journals postings, bank postings and bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, back up calculations and all SOX related controls compliance
• Reporting approximately 30 companies in the group's ERP system
• Reporting includes: Monthly flash reporting, monthly actual's reporting, quarterly actual's, quarterly forecasts, quarterly re-forecasts, annual budget, annual budget up-date, annual pro-forma, annual pro-forma updates and inter-company reporting
• Journals includes: bank/inter-company interest and accruals, complex accounting transactions including significant restructures, and cash strategies of the group

What you'll need:

• Experience in a Finance function producing Dutch statutory accounts for multiple entities
• Experience of reporting under Dutch GAAP/IFRS and in a SOX control environment
• Qualified accountant (relevant HBO or WO education) with strong accounting skills
• Advanced English communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office at intermediate to advanced level), particularly MS Excel, which should be intermediate/advanced (pivot tables; conditional formatting etc.)
• Experience using accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Managing of own workload and that of the team to ensure consistent service levels
• There may also be a requirement to work additional hours occasionally due to tight deadlines and month-end processes
