Intern Physical and Personal Security

Ensuring safety and security of people and assets are fundamental in every company. Within the ODCR department, a team of experts are tasked with coordinating activities around Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Personal and physical Security specifically for the entities residing in the Netherlands.

About our team
The team is looking for an intern who can provide support in the execution of our Personal and Physical security activities. These are, amongst other, support in advising on events, travel policy, information security and social safety. The scope of the activities are the business lines residing in the Netherlands.

Your role and work environment
As part of COO Operational Design, Control & Resilience, the team Resilience & Continuity is pivotal for our success. You will work in an enthusiastic international team consisting of 11 colleagues (7 based in NL and 4 colleagues based in ING Hub Slovakia) to meet the objective of the Resilience & Continuity team: to contribute to a successful delivery of ING's Operational Resilience strategy. Keeping the bank safe, secure and compliant is the core of what we do. Our team is very ambitious, but we also find it very important that we work together in a pleasant and friendly manner.

Activities the team members are working on include:

Defining, implementing operational resilience strategy, focusing on Global Business continuity management, Global Crisis management, Global Incident Management, and Resolution;
Coordination of personal security controls in order to properly execute and report on progress of activities
Working closely together with the Safe Business officers and relevant departments for all business lines in the Netherlands.

We are looking for:

Student Business Administration, HR, “Integrale Veiligheid” or equivalent (HBO / WO);
You take initiative, are proactive and come up with innovative ideas;
You like fixing and handling things and are persistent;
You have good communication skills;
You have an excellent command of the Dutch language and a good command of the English language (both oral and written);
You can organize your own work well and you can work independently as well as collaborate with a team;
You love to challenge the status quo and are eager to propose creative solutions to problems
You are analytically strong and skilled with Excel and Power Point
Are able to work with diverse stakeholders at different levels of seniority
