Your Role

As the Legal Counsel at Cradle based in Zurich or Amsterdam, you will partner with the Chief Operating Officer to provide top-notch legal advice on a wide variety of legal topics. As part of a fast-growing company looking to scale up internationally, you’ll be in charge of ensuring our contracts with customers, vendors, investors, and partners around the globe safeguard the company’s rights. You’ll also advise on matters involving corporate and employment law, as well as regulatory compliance, to spot and minimize legal risks and make sure our managerial decisions take material legal risks and opportunities into account. We expect the role’s scope to grow alongside the company’s growth, while offering you the option to work on a reduced and flexible schedule with little to no travel.

Your Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to licensing agreements, vendor agreements, and partnership contracts.
  
• Corporate Law: Provide legal advice on general corporate matters, draft / review corporate documents, resolutions, and other necessary legal documentation.
  
• Employment Law: Advise on general employment matters, draft / review employment contracts, ensure compliance with local employment regulations
  
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with relevant laws and regulations as required.
  
• Legal Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s business activities.
  
• Liaison with External Legal Advisors: manage relationships with external legal advisors in Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United States and other jurisdictions, for any topics that require local expertise, as well as specialty areas such as intellectual property, data protection and others.
  

Your Qualifications

• Education: Law degree from an accredited institution.
  
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a law firm or similar in-house position. Experience in relevant areas of US law is a strong advantage.
  
• Language Skills: Full fluency in English, both oral and written, is essential. Proficiency in German and/or Dutch is a strong advantage.
  
• Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Attributes: Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, adept at working collaboratively across teams. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a high level of integrity.
