COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Netherland) B.V. is a container shipping company with increasing capacity and belongs to the world top 3 global carriers. Through dozens of trade lanes, over 100 of ports worldwide are connected. Several weekly services from Rotterdam to e.g. Far East and the U.S.A. are handled at our local office. We arrange COSCO SHIPPING Lines sales and marketing activities and arrange full service concerning all (container) vessels to the Netherlands.

Operator Booking Department (M/F)

CONTEXT AND AIM OF JOB POSITION
As Operator of the Booking Department, you are responsible for processing booking request of customers, protect and manage given allocations and providing customer service. You are responsible for all booking department activities on operational and customer service level. Reports to the Team leader Booking Department and Marketing and Sales Manager. Works closely with other departments, agents and HQ


Responsibilities:
Targets/goals

• Processing all Customer Booking requests in the proper way and within the deadline.
• Coordinate/processing the booking requests in correct manner, according to HQ rules and vessel allocation we as local office have.
• Maintaining Customer contact, providing customer service during booking process and thereafter.
• Keep the Sales department informed about issues, customer and market information / developments. Being a bridge between the Sales and the Booking Department.
• Have close contact with Allocation Control Manager.
• Process and inform customers about vessel schedule changes.

Information / advise

• Advising role to the Marketing and Sales employees.
• Informing Booking staff members about latest (operational) updates and make sure followed.

Other responsibilities

• Providing statistics and system data.
• Making frequent reports to local management and Principal.
• Administrative tasks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• MBO level education, working and thinking level
• > 5 years of experience in the shipping industry
• Cargadoor 1 & 2 certificate
• IMDG course certificate
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Experienced in working with Ms Office (Word/Excel)
