SCIB Banking & Corporate Finance is looking for an Analyst or Associate , based in our Amsterdam office.

The wider Santander Benelux team consist of c. 22 people and the Corporate Banking team currently consist of 2 Senior Bankers, 1 Associate and 2 Analysts as well as supporting interns. This opportunity will allow you to further grow your curious mindset, learn and develop internal and external client relationships in a unique environment.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As an Analyst/Associate in the Corporate Banking team in Amsterdam, you will:
- Play a key role in supporting senior bankers in managing relationships for global corporates headquartered in the Benelux region
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, prepare credit memoranda and assist with structuring complex financial solutions for clients and prospects across all products and geographies of Santander CIB
- Support in originating and executing transactions across Global Debt Financing (GDF) including Syndicated Loans, DCM, Structed Finance etc, Global Transaction Banking (GTB) including Trade & WC solutions, Export Finance, Cash Management etc, and Global Markets including Rates, FX etc.
- Take responsibility for delivering client presentations and supporting coverage or product related initiatives
- Performing financial and strategic business analysis on sectors, competitors and clients
- Preparing client business plans, monitoring performance in terms of client profitability and absolute revenue targets as well as internal portfolio management
- Pro-actively manage compliance and other non-financial risks

Actively train and mentor more junior members of the team as well as take an active role in rolling intern recruitment
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Corporate & Investment banking at a top-tier international bank
EDUCATION
-
Bachelor´s degree required (preferably master’s degree); strong academic track record and preferably in business administration, finance, accounting and/or economics
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder and processes simultaneously
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, pro-active and autonomous
- Team player who can interact effectively with all levels of hierarchy and product teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent proficiency in Power Point and Excel

Languages: Fluency in English. Dutch and/or Spanish are a plus
