About the Job


The DBS Benelux organization provides business services for transactional finance and expert activities to all CBUs in the Benelux. These activities include o.a. Financial Control, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control and Trading & Interco. The primary location of the DBS team is Rijswijk, Netherlands.

The Financial Control team (15 FTE) is responsible o.a. for reliable and compliant financial accounting and reporting process for the CBUs in scope. The team is also responsible for specific accounting activities such as GL accounting, fixed assets management, stock management, interco reconciliation and payroll accounting.

You will report directly to one of the Financial Control Manager, working on assigned CBUs and / or assigned GL tasks as key-user. You will manage the day-to-day General Accounting activities for assigned CBUs and / or assigned GL tasks to ensure the management accounts are in line with the Group rules and the statutory accounts in full compliance with local rules – on top of that, your main activities:

• Ensure the financial reporting processes are compliant with the group core model and with local rules
• Ensure the application of reporting instructions circulated by the Group consolidation team and deliver and report the management and statutory accounts of the CBUs on time
• Supervise IC reconciliation and reporting process and validate monthly intercompany payment process
• Prepare the financial statements for local/legal requirements
• Perform integrity checks of interfaces fueling the accounting system and follow up the resolution of issues
• Support CBUs in the forecasting process as well as in reporting financial forecasts to the Group (rolling forecast, valuation of assets, cash, taxes, etc) and ensure the development of a close relationship with CBU
• Review the closing, reporting process KPIs and IC process KPIs with the Finance Managers
• Contribute to lead finance projects/improvement projects
• Guarantee an effective internal control system in the accounting, closing and reporting process
• Support audits (internal as well as external audits)

About youTo be successful in this role, you have a bachelor in Accounting or related fields; you will bring a minimum of 3 years proven professional working experience in accounting preferably in a shared service environment Knowledge and user experience with SAP as a daily user (SAP FI/CO/MM/AA) and advanced Excel skills. Experience in preparation of the financial statements in accordance with IFRS is required. Knowledge of Dutch/Belgian GAAP and experience with the statutory process in Belgium is a plus. You are a strong analytical person with high attention to detail; a great team player who can work independently. Good and professional communication skills in English. French and Dutch is an advantage.
