Overview:
Git Hub helps companies and organizations succeed by allowing them to build better software together. The revenue team is looking for an Account Executive for our small business segment to develop, manage and grow relationships with Git Hub’s new and existing customer base of businesses. The SMB-AE plays a pivotal role in the acquisition of new customers as well as retention of existing customers including, overall satisfaction and trust of our customers, as well as expanding our product footprint with these customers. The ideal candidate will have sales and relationship management experience combined with a passion for learning about the Git Hub platform and our competitive advantages and building strong connections with our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect, build and maintain a strong sales pipeline in our Small Customer segment (100 - 500 DEVELOPERS)
  • Primary interface to prospects and customers; drive buying process including answering questions and providing information
  • Working with customers to communicate how Git Hub Enterprise and Git Hub Advanced Security can fit with their business needs
  • Partner with the Solutions Engineering team to ensure technical accuracy and delivery to customers
    Assist with demos and trials
  • Providing quotes and negotiating close
  • Work with Git Hub tools and technology to keep accurate prospect and customer information and forecast information
  • Effectively manage territory to identify new & upsell opportunities across Git Hub platform including consumptive products to meet or exceed quota
  • Actively work to maintain strong relationships with Git Hub’s existing customer base while identifying opportunity for growing adoption
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal teams (sales, customer success, renewals, deal-desk, ops) to ensure timely deal closure
  • Understand how customers are using Git Hub and collaborate with them to ensure they get the most out of the Git Hub platform
  • Learn about customer’s successes and challenges, share customer feedback with Git Hub, and advocate for customer interests
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Several years of sales, experience managing Saa S accounts, with a track record of success
  • Effectively uses a repeatable method for uncovering greenfield opportunities and building out a new territory as well as manage exiting install book of business
  • In office Wednesdays & Thursdays in the Amsterdam office
  • Fluent in English

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to take initiative and build customer trust with empathy
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work-ethic; self-directed and resourceful
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to become deeply fluent in Git Hub’s technology and the industry
  • Knowledge of Devops and Dev Secops, with understanding of Application Security and CI/CD
  • Business proficient in German or any Scandinavian languages
