As a team, we leverage Agile ways of working to help our team develop their skills while also making sure our team is focusing on solving the most complex problems for both our customers and team.
What you'll do
The purpose of the wiq NZ team is to unlock the power of data to imagine retail, which contributes to making Kiwis’ lives a little better every day. We're seeking a highly technical and commercially-minded Analytics Lead to drive the progress of our Next Gen tools as they become an ongoing and highly valuable feature of our commercial operations. As a key member of the wiq NZ team, you will work closely with the WWNZ Commercial leadership team, as well as wiq (analytics) leads globally (AU and India). You'll harness your advanced Excel, SQL and Python expertise to empower a squad of technical analysts to deliver high-impact analytical solutions.
As the Analytics Lead, you will be managing the day to day workload of a highly technical analytics delivery squad. You are responsible for the delivery of all projects across the squad, the execution of BAU Analytics as well as ensuring urgent and important requests are responded to in a timely manner.

Oversee data pipeline refreshes and implement minor continuous improvement updates using DBT.

Maintain and enhance our business-facing toolkits (Excel front-end, SQL/Python backend), including daily and ongoing tool updates / releases.

Refresh and manage tool outcome / benefits trackers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.

Debug and resolve tooling issues, making strategic decisions on implementing hot fixes versus longer-term solutions.

Monitor the tool inboxes, respond to and triage business stakeholder queries and communicate tool updates to the business

Raise data-related concerns with data governance and data teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
What you'll bring
You can think creatively, critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic culture. Your stakeholder management skills are exceptional and you don't shy away from conversations with senior business leaders. Your mature and likeable demeanour will allow you to influence, guide, and deliver the direction to the team. You will bring a wealth of experience working in analytics, ideally you have experience working in an agile environment and be able to demonstrate your strong leadership skills. You will have strong experience in delivering analytics projects and initiatives.
You will have a relevant tertiary degree and be looking to take a step up to a leadership position. Ideally you will be familiar with JIRA, Confluence and Project Management tools.
