After significant growth and transformation through investment in a new farming system- flip farm, and technology we are in a period of consolidation with our farm and shore operations in the Coromandel. We have a great opportunity for someone either working in the aquaculture industry or wanting to get into the industry to join our established team in the Coromandel and grow their farming experience.
Reporting to the Farm & Projects Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will be as follows:

Undertake the farm, yard and shed duties
Assemble oyster baskets for flip farm systems
Undertake farm and harvesting duties of oysters
Repair and clean oyster baskets and bags
Repairs and maintenance of all racks/lines/baskets used in operations.
To undertake general labouring duties, Food Safety procedures, Personal Hygiene and all other duties required as prescribed by the Risk Management Plan (RMP)

You must be able to demonstrate you are a team player, reliable, respectful, and hard working. You will possess a great attitude, be easy to work with, and no job is to small or big for you to tackle and become the best at doing.
Key criteria:

Ideally you will come from an aquaculture background, keen to learn and develop skills and capability in an oyster farm operation
Commitment to Health & Safety
Task orientated, with track record for delivering agreed outcomes on time
Full & Clean NZ Driver’s License and transport to/from work
Ability to work weekends
