Mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Assistant Branch Manager in our Personal Banking Branch Network team - this role is which assist the Branch Manager in managing the daily branch operations. Assistant Managers (AM) generally only manage Service Staff however there are some AM’s that have solutions staff reporting to them. These positions report into a Branch Manager. Whilst Branch Managers have ultimate responsibility for all staff and operational requirements of their sites even, they often delegate tasks to the AM.

Role Type: Permanent / Part-time
Role Location: Hāwera / Hawera
Work Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday / 22.5hrs

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?

In this role, you would assist the Branch Manager in managing branch operations and provide leadership of the branch customer services platform. You will responsible for meeting customer needs and enhancing customer experience to ensure the service platform is compliant with ANZ's policies and procedures. This role is expected to provide full leadership and be responsible for all branch activities in the Branch Manager's absence.

  • Research, analytical, credit and risk assessment skills gained through banking experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance and branch operations

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • A positive attitude with a growth mindset
