Overview:
As we prepare to start exporting New Zealand wines and craft beers to our Japanese branch next year, we are seeking a full-time bookkeeper to join our team. This role will be crucial in supporting our financial operations as we grow.Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
Location: 4 Anzac Road, Browns Bay / 272 Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby
Working hours:9am-6pm, Monday to Friday
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations across the organization. Key duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. As Ramen Takara expands into international markets, this role will also support financial operations related to international transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records using both manual and computerised systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting, working closely with management to ensure financial goals are accurately projected and tracked.
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors as necessary.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements with financial records, identifying and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Verify recorded financial transactions for accuracy and compliance, and report any irregularities or discrepancies to management promptly.
- Support financial operations related to international transactions, including currency conversions, international payment processing, and compliance with cross-border regulations.
Requirement:
l 3+ years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.l Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
l Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
l Experience in handling international transaction will be highly advantageous
