Butchery Assistant Manager (2IC)

We’re excited to announce that Pak’n Save Highland Park will be joining the community February 2025! With a brand-new store and impressive offering across butchery, seafood, bakery, deli, produce, grocery and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors to the East Auckland community!
We’re currently seeking an experienced Butchery Assistant Manager to join the team. As a department leader, you’ll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community.
The Role
- Assist the Butchery Manager to meet department targets and operational delivery standards.
- Ensure all product meets the highest standards, is fresh and displayed attractively for our customers.
- Listen to customers to find out what they want and need in one simple shop.
- Search constantly for areas to improve our butchery operations, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensure all meat is displayed in the case is correctly trayed, wrapped, and labelled.
- Assist in delivering on commercial outcomes to drive growth in the store

What we’re looking for:
- You’ll have a passion for butchery and a good eye for quality and presentation.
- Be a qualified butcher.
- Great people skills and leadership potential.
- Able to strictly follow our Food Safety and Health and Safety program.
- Reliable, self-motivated and be a good team player.
- Proven customer service experience.
