Job Description
We're seeking proactive, detail-oriented self-starters to join our team in these vibrant, administrative roles with true impact! As Category Specialists within our merchandise team, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Acting as a main point of contact with suppliers and providing key support to our Buyers, you'll cover a broad range of categories—from our trend-setting apparel collections, must-have food and grocery essentials, high-tech appliances, and stylish home ranges to stationery for creative minds and outdoor living products.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Efficiently managing multiple live tasks, juggling priorities, and adapting swiftly in a fast-moving environment
- Placing, tracking, and managing product orders to meet schedules and deadlines, including handling purchase orders and barcodes
- Inputting and maintaining accurate product data and imagery for smooth product rollouts
- Handling supplier invoices and information to sustain strong supplier relationships
- Supporting advertising and promotional activities across categories
- Monitoring and reporting on sales performance, contributing valuable insights
- Offering additional administrative and systems support to keep operations seamless
- Coordinating customer-focused events (e.g., Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day), tracking timelines, and managing samples
Qualifications
With lots of opportunities to learn in real-time and develop your skills, you’re a real self-starter who takes ownership of your work, thrives when working at the fast pace of retail and can collaborate with internal teams and build relationships with external suppliers. No two days are the same! You’re an active problem-solver, curious in nature and drive to find solutions.
Organisation, prioritisation and time management skills are your key strengths as you work efficiently to juggle priorities, manage workload and deliver to strict deadlines with ease! You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, have a high attention to detail and robust organisational skills.
