NMP Holdings Ltd, trading as Masala Bay (Located at Stratford) & Polpetta Fusion (located at New Plymouth) is seeking a talented and passionate chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Job Description:
As a Chef at NMP Holdings Ltd, you will:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with our menu.
• Develop new recipes and ensure variety and quality in the serving of meals.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Monitor food stock and place orders as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assist with training new team members.
• Collaborate with management to enhance the dining experience for our customers.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Culinary Arts, Cookery, Food Production, Food and Beverage Science, etc. OR

At least three years of relevant experience
(Candidates can apply if they are meeting either the qualification or the work experience requirements as mentioned above)

• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Creativity and a passion for food and hospitality.

Compliance:

• Must adhere to New Zealand food safety and hygiene standards.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.00 – 60.00 per week
Schedule:

• Rotating roster
• Shift work
• Weekend availability
