Job Description:
As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing dishes from our menu with a focus on quality and presentation.
• Training, developing, and motivating kitchen staff to meet and exceed food preparation standards.
• Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
• Monitoring stock levels, managing suppliers, and ensuring food quality control.
• Leading the kitchen team with professionalism, providing guidance, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Japanese Cuisine Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop kitchen staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Creativity in developing new seasonal dishes.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Terms and Conditions:

• Remuneration: $31.61 per hour.
• Hours of Work: Minimum of 40 hours per week, as per a roster provided by the employer. The roster will be shared at least two days in advance, with flexibility required due to the nature of the hospitality industry.
• Location: The main place of work is Kazu Yakitori & Sake Bar, with work also at other locations within Wellington as required.
