We are seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the development and execution of Media Works' marketing and communications strategy delivering brand growth, impactful go-to-market campaigns and memorable storytelling that colours and connects with our communities.
This is an executive-level role that requires a seasoned marketing expert with a proven track-record working across multiple brands and services within B2C and B2B. Growing our audiences, igniting customer engagement and elevating our brands from good to frickin amazing!
What you'll do:
Reporting to the CEO, you will work across the Media Works Group to drive our marketing performance strategies, enhance brand reputation, and accelerate growth through a customer-centric approach. As CMO, you will lead the combined Consumer, Trade & Passionfruit teams, ensuring high performance, a strong ROI and optimising our marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership and Vision: Craft a comprehensive marketing strategic vision that aligns with the company's goals, emphasising unique brand propositions and brand stories that will strongly connect with customers/audiences.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team capable of executing in a fast-paced, agile environment. Fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous improvement, empowering team members to take initiative and drive results.
  • Growth Delivery: Identifying key points of engagement throughout the customer journey to build intentional, consistent marketing strategies to reach the right audience and deliver on the right value.
  • Performance Marketing and Analytics: Leverage data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns across channels. Optimise spend and strategies based on ROI and KPIs, adjusting tactics to maximise performance.
  • Customer Acquisition: Implement innovative marketing campaigns to attract and retain customers, including lead generation, nurturing, and conversion strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with content, promotions, sales and digital teams to ensure cohesive brand experiences and consistent messaging across all touchpoints. Influence product strategy ensuring offerings meet the evolving needs of the market.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with external partners, media, and industry influencers to amplify brand reach and enhance reputation.
What you'll bring:
The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of brand and digital marketing expertise, be experienced at exec level with the ability to strategize and execute marketing plans that drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • 10+ years proven experience in senior consumer marketing roles planning, and managing, effective multi channel, multi segment marketing campaigns for B2C and B2B. Has a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
  • 3+ years leadership experience at executive level delivering strong business performance ideally in media, tech or FMCG.
  • Expert knowledge of integrated marketing with emphasis on digital marketing, customer engagement/retention, data analysis, brand storytelling, reputation and stakeholder strategies.
  • Resilient and Tenacious: Possesses a hunter mentality, with a relentless drive to overcome challenges and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Process-Oriented and Detail-Focused: Balances big-picture thinking with an attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the marketing strategy are executed at a high standard.
  • Creative Flair, Agile and Adaptive: Demonstrated ability to lead creative marketing initiatives with capacity to pivot strategies in response to market changes or new opportunities.
  • Communicator and Influential: Excels in communication in building relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external partners, inspiring confidence and trust in the marketing vision.
