Job Description
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this exceptional opportunity has arisen at Pullman Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to expand their career portfolio and aiming for the global circle. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Concierge operations, a team of 10-15 employees.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the hotel Front-Office operation to achieve a reputation as a market leader in individualised customer focused service in the marketplace.
- Be proactive in the services concierge offers.
- Coach the team to ensure that every member of the team are confident to sell the local activities to hotel guests, by assisting them and arranging training or famil visits where necessary.
- Establish on-going On Job Training within the department to meet brand and service standards. Use department procedure manuals as a base for all service procedures and training.
- Assisting in recruitment activities, seeking staff who are technically skilled or have potential to be through training, and have a natural inclination towards customer focused service.
Qualifications
In order to be successful for this role:
- Must hold a FULL New Zealand driver’s license
- Proven track record in managing and motivating a large team
- Opera knowledge preferred
- Exposure in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment
- Ability to remain calm and diplomatic when under pressure, providing flexible solutions throughout
- Be a skilled negotiator to resolve a range of guest and employee concerns
- Immaculate personal presentation and high level of communication – both verbal & written
- Flexibility of availability – able to work days/evenings/weekends and night shift
- The physical aspects of the role which include but are not limited to; standing, walking, lifting and carrying, squatting, pushing, pulling, gripping, occasional ascending or descending of stairs.
