Carejobz is working exclusively with our client, a prestigious healthcare provider, to recruit for this exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Lead to join a dynamic and supportive surgical team in Wellington.
In this senior role, you will lead a team of talented theatre nurses, ensuring excellence in the provision of quality surgical care across a wide range of specialties, including General Surgery, Gynaecology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Neuro, Vascular, Plastics, and Ophthalmology.
You’ll be the driving force behind the team, maintaining high standards of care and inspiring others to perform at their best.

What You'll Bring to the Role
- A Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate and relevant scope of practice for a surgical setting.
- At least 5 years of theatre experience, with a strong preference for General Surgery experience.
- Previous leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a team.
- Post-graduate qualifications in clinical nursing practice or a commitment to further education.
- Intermediate-level computer literacy and a proactive approach to learning new systems.
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality patient care and the ability to build strong relationships with surgeons and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading and managing a team of theatre nurses, ensuring a high standard of care for all surgical patients.
- Working closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to maintain excellent clinical practices.
- Overseeing the preparation and care of patients in theatre, ensuring safety and best practices at all times.
- Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborating with the Theatre Services Manager to improve patient outcomes and support staff development.
