The Role | Te mahi
We have a great opportunity for a reliable individual looking to gain further experience in the hospitality industry!
We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at The Lane Restaurant in Salisbury Street, adjacent to Sudima Christchurch City.
This is a fixed term role role based at Sudima Christchurch City with the pay rate of $25 per hour.
Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa

• Preparation and cooking of meals
• Supporting with kitchen services and cleaning
• Following the guidance of the Senior chefs
• Follow and enforce strict health and hygiene standards

Requirements
About You | Ko koe tēnei

• NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
• Experience in a busy kitchen environment
• Planning and organising skills and an ability to work individually and in a team
• Ability to multi-task, show flexibility and meet deadlines, work under pressure
• Flexible to work rostered shifts, including weekends, late nights, and public holidays
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and thermomix)
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks, excellent time management abilities
• Familiarity with sanitation and safe food handling regulations
