The role

What you’ll do:
  • Craft and execute Tuatahi’s internal and external communications strategy to drive our business goals.

  • Deliver clear, effective communications to our retail and supply side partners, ensuring they’re well-informed.
  • Collaborate with teams across Customer Experience, Brand/Sponsorship, and Proposition Marketing to roll out integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, offering effective communications support.

  • Enhance and protect Tuatahi’s reputation with stakeholders by developing and delivering impactful communications.
  • Play a pivotal role in managing our brand’s reputation during challenging situations.
This role offers flexibility, with the option to be based in either Hamilton or Tauranga and can be part-time (minimum 32 hours) or full-time.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Qualifications & experience: A degree in communications, journalism, or a related field, and ideally practical experience in the industry. You should also have a passion for staying current with the latest communication trends and best practices.
  • Proven success: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing internal and external communication strategies, with a track record of delivering impactful results.
  • Versatile communication skills: Knowledge of both traditional and digital communication channels, including social media platforms, to ensure our message reaches the right audience in the right way.
  • PR & media savvy: Familiarity with PR and media practices, including experience collaborating with external agencies to enhance our brand’s visibility.
  • Proactive approach: A proactive mindset with the ability to work across the business, identifying opportunities to effectively tell Tuatahi’s story.
