Compliance Manager

The role:

This role will provide compliance leadership and support to managers, staff and contractors to ensure that Metering and Field Operations (MFO) services are conducted safely and adhere to established standards and customer requirements.

Offer technical guidance and advice to the ATH & MEP (Approved Test House & Metering Equipment Provider) Manager, General Manager, and their teams on regulatory and health and safety issues pertinent to the metrology industry.

The role includes a strong technical support component and is therefore expected to provide technical advice in adherence to the EIPC (Electricity Industry Participation Code), ESR (Electrical Safety Regulations), AS/NZS3000 (Wiring Rules) and ECP (Electrical Codes of Practice), and manage Delta's programme of metering installation audits and metering technician live audits, ensuring they are planned and undertaken to meet Delta’s contractual and/or regulatory obligations.

About you:

Experience with Microsoft Office and multiple database software and systems, including workflow management
Strong capability and demonstrated expertise of management and leadership in a customer service environment
Strong written and verbal communication
Highly committed to, and capable of identifying and addressing customers’ needs
Ability to engage “hands on” and continuously analyse and deliver / support driving improvement across the business.
Demonstrates integrity, self-awareness (understands own strengths and weaknesses), courage, respect, and empathy.
Motivated to identify and deliver on improvement opportunities within the Electricity Supply Industry

What you need to succeed:

EWRB Registration
Full practicing license
Knowledge of the Electrical Industry Participation Code
Knowledge of current Electricity Regulations and Codes of Practice
Current Class 1 Drivers License
2 to 3 years’ experience in a compliance role and/or regulatory role in the New Zealand electricity industry
Knowledge of industry safety practices and safety guidelines
Experience working in a competitive contracting environment or similar but not essential

About the role:

This is a full-time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
The salary range for this role is $95000 - $110000/annum (gross) - dependent upon experience
This role is based in Dunedin, Otago, South Island of New Zealand.
