The opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for a Construction Planner Cadet to join our Wellington team.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have a genuine interest in construction and forging a successful career within this field. Construction experience will be an advantage.
Our Cadet Programme is an exceptional opportunity for graduates to gain practical hands-on exposure with an industry leader. Naylor Love is committed to the development of its people and this structured learning programme will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work across all facets of construction to gain valuable exposure and knowledge across the full life cycle of projects from tender stage through to completion, while completing our much sought-after Cadetship programme.
Construction Programmer Cadet
As a Construction Planner Cadet, you will be mentored under the direction of an experienced Construction Planner. By undertaking assigned projects, you will learn the methodology and programme performance standards, on live projects.
This role will see you involved in developing project timelines while working closely with the senior and project management teams and to our client’s brief. You will be part of the team instrumental in ensuring that all project delivery deadlines are achievable and you will be required to demonstrate your programming/planning skills. The successful candidate will hold excellent communication skills and understand the overall lifecycle management of projects.
If you have a commercial building background, an analytical focus and adept in decision making and problem solving then you would be well suited for this position.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical test including drug screening and be eligible to work in New Zealand either as a resident or by holding a current work visa.
