• Build and manage relationships with allocated brokers and agents including undertaking broker visits to obtain new and retain existing profitable business
• Assist the Business Development Manager with developing a strategic approach to their key broker relationships
• Responsible for the underwriting of new business and renewal business including rural risks within the companies underwriting guidelines to selected brokers within delegated authority
• Manage the process of authorising broker placings in accordance with company procedures where required
• Proactively contribute to improve the image and outcomes of the company within the marketplace to the external customer as well as provide excellent internal customer service.

• Proven experience in sales distribution within the insurance industry
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships within the insurance broker market
• Relevant experience with commercial insurance underwriting and pricing
• Sound understanding of competitor activity relating to underwriting trends and best practice
• Results oriented and committed to achieving challenging objectives and delivering excellence
