Our award-winning resource collection - created by teachers for teachers - provides unlimited supplementary digital and printable teaching resources at an unbeatable value.
We have over a million editable resources, and new content is added every day. Don't see what you need? Just ask! We make bespoke resources for our members as part of our world-class customer service promise to help those who teach.
We support educators and children around the world, and we’re committed to transforming lives through education.
Whoever you are, whatever you teach, Twinkl is here for you!
The Role:
As a Content Writer/Editor for Phonics New Zealand, you’ll have a dual role. You’ll spend most of your time as an Editor, helping to ensure that the content our Writers have created is accurate and well written, enabling us to deliver high-quality Phonics materials to children in New Zealand. You will also spend some of your time helping to create and refine resources for our Phonics scheme specifically designed for New Zealand educators and children. You will have experience teaching in New Zealand across the early years and/or lower primary with a passion for phonics and early reading. Initial projects will include work on Level 6 of our scheme, so experience teaching Phonics at this level/age range will be an advantage. You will develop innovative resources, working closely with other team members such as Content Editors, Illustrators and Graphic Designers.
There are short Team and 1:1 meetings throughout the week, however the remainder of your contracted weekly hours can be worked whenever suits you. If you are working from home, you will need to provide your own device to work on and a reliable, high-speed internet connection. We are looking for working teachers (part-time or casual relief) who can do this around their teaching role or experienced teachers who have recently left the classroom.
